Sujith Wijerathne Singapore

Dr. Sujith Wijerathne is a highly accomplished General Surgeon with a passion for medical education and training. He graduated from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 2008 and began his medical career at the National University Hospital, Singapore, in 2009. Dr. Wijerathne completed his specialist training in General Surgery in 2017, earning fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Academy of Medicine Singapore. Throughout his career, he has held various academic appointments at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery. Dr. Wijerathne's expertise lies in Minimally Invasive Surgery, Complex Hernia Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, and Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy. He actively contributes to international medical communities through workshops and outreach programs. A prolific author and presenter, he has received numerous awards for his research work. He also plays a pivotal role in the development of surgical services at Alexandra Integrated General Hospital, Singapore, serving as the Deputy Head of General Surgery Service.
